Graphic Zen was recently selected to create a logo for the Meridian Arts Foundation, which serves the community of Meridian, Idaho. The volunteer member board advises on arts/cultural policy and promotes public awareness and participation in the arts for the city. I originally submitted six concepts to the board and after reviewing the concepts that were presented, the board selected the image to the left.
The board supplied some direction in the way of logos and color schemes they liked, in particular a two-color design and stylized lettering. All six concepts featured a different “M” and three were “square” designs and the other three were shaped in various ways.
Feedback from board member Meg Glasgow on the final logo chosen, “You did such a great job designing these! We were thrilled!!! Thank you so much.”
As a creative business owner involved in my community, it’s always nice to be asked to participate in a project such as this and to receive the thanks from the board.
