FAQ
Here are some frequently asked questions regarding our services.
How much do you charge to design a logo?
It depends on the complexity of your logo needs and the research time involved. Every company is different, so the requirements needed will be different also, and are based on the size of the company and what the client requests from the project. The minimum that we charge for design is $500 dollars (USD). If your budget is less than that, it’s not feasible for us to spend the time needed to create a quality design.
How much do you charge to design a web site?
Most customized Wordpress sites run between $500 to $2000, again depending on the complexity of your site needs and the build time involved. We’re proud to say that most of the themed WordPress sites we develop can be up and running in 1 to 2 weeks. It may take a bit longer if custom logo work or other elements are involved. Once your site is up, we show you how to create and manage your pages.
How do you accept payment?
We can accept payment via PayPal or by valid bank check. Projects require a 50% down prior to commencing work. Details are included in your project agreement, and the remaining 50% is due upon completion of the project.
Do I receive the original artwork? What file format do you provide?
Yes, the original artwork for your project is yours once the project is completed and final payment is received. I usually provide completed projects in Adobe Illustrator. Your logo will be in vector format so that it can be scaled without a loss of quality. However I can provide .eps, .jpg, .png, .tif and other formats if needed.
Do I receive a proof of the concept?
All clients will receive a PDF file of the initial design concepts. The number of designs you receive depends upon the design brief and scope of the project agreement.
Will you feature my design in your portfolio?
It’s possible. I reserve the right to feature your design on my portfolio, but there is no guarantee that I will.
What is a design brief?
A design brief outlines the scope and ultimate goal of the design project. It provides the designer with the reference points necessary to focus on what you want to achieve from the project. Think of it similarly to house plans used by a contractor. The plans tell the contractor where to build the house, how many stories, types of material used, etc. The design brief is used by the designer as a guide so that your project is created to your satisfaction.
Why do I need to complete the contact form?
The contact form provides the initial information I use to determine the scope of your project and provide you with an estimate of the cost. The more information you can provide at the beginning of the project, the easier it will be to achieve your objectives. If you have questions about what or why you need to provide information, feel free to contact me.
How long will it take?
When I provide your estimate I will also provide a projected outline of the project, including the timeframe on initial ideas to finished product. However each project is different and the time between proofs and revisions will vary based on many factors (size of company, committee reviews, etc.) Project timelines can range from a few weeks to six months or longer.
