Here are some frequently asked questions regarding our services.
How much do you charge to design a logo?
Our custom logo designs begin at $999 and we can provide you with a professional business logo design that will help build your brand and define your company. Your design includes business card, letterhead and envelope design (see the logo design page for more info). If your budget is less than that, it’s not feasible for us to do the research necessary to create a quality design.
How much do you charge to design a web site?
Each website is a custom project and the pricing can vary – a simple web site usually runs $2000, while a more complex one could be as high as $20,000. For a free website quote, fill out the quote form here.
How do you accept payment?
We can accept payment by most major credit cards via PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account to pay us via PayPal.
Do I have to pay in full prior to you starting the project?
No. If you prefer not to utilize the online shopping cart, we request a 50% down payment prior to scheduling the work. We will email you a PayPal invoice for the 50% deposit, along with a Project Agreement. Simply sign and return the Project Agreement along with your 50% deposit check (or pay via the PayPal invoice), and the remaining 50% is payable upon completion of the project, prior to supply of original artwork or final transfer of web design files. Please note that clients that pay in full receive priority placement for projects.
Can I get a discount?
If you are a non-profit or religious organization, we do offer a 15% discount on our list prices. Please contact us for details on how to receive your discount. We occasionally send out discounts via social media, through our Twitter and Facebook accounts. Please follow us to receive notification when we send out discount codes.
How long will it take?
Each project is different and the time between proofs and revisions will vary based on many factors (size of company, committee reviews, receiving content from clients, etc.) Project timelines can range from three weeks to three months or longer.
Do I receive the original artwork? What file format do you provide?
Yes, the original artwork for your project is yours once the project is completed and final payment is received. We usually provide completed projects in .eps (Encapsulated Postscript) format. Your logo will be in vector format so that it can be scaled without a loss of quality. We can also provide .jpg, .png, .tif and other formats if needed.
Do I receive a proof of the concept?
All clients will receive a PDF file of the initial design concepts. The number of designs you receive depends upon the design brief and the logo or web design package you choose.
Don’t I need to know HTML or something if I want to add pages?
No – that’s the great thing about WordPress! The look of your pages is controlled by the stylesheet. If you create a new page, it will look like the rest of your site, no coding necessary.
Will you feature my design in your portfolio?
It’s possible. We reserve the right to feature your design on our website, but there is no guarantee that we will.
What is a design brief?
A design brief outlines the scope and ultimate goal of the design project. It provides the designer with the reference points necessary to focus on what you want to achieve from the project. Think of it similarly to house plans used by a contractor. The plans tell the contractor where to build the house, how many stories, types of material used, etc. The design brief is used by the designer as a guide so that your project is created to your satisfaction. The more details you can provide, the better the result.
Why do I need to complete the contact form?
The contact form provides the initial information we use to determine the scope of your project and a way to contact you if we have questions regarding your project. The more information you can provide at the beginning of the project, the easier it will be to achieve your objectives.
